How much will it cost me to use Habitat Finance & Insurance?

Absolutely nothing!

Habitat Finance & Insurance is paid commission after the loan settles by the lenders, not by our clients. If you would like to know more about our commission structures, please do not hesitate to ask and we will be happy to explain further.

I have a default, can I still apply for a loan?

We have access to a number of lenders who will lend to people who have defaults on their credit history.

The key to lending with bad credit history is to be honest with us so that we can put the best case forward possible to the prospective lenders on your behalf.

If you would like a copy of your credit record or you want to ensure that your default/s are listed as paid, you can contact a credit reporting agency. Veda Advantage is Australia’s largest credit reporting agency and can be contacted via http://www.mycreditfile.com.au or by calling 1300 762 207.

Should I get pre-approval before I search for a property?

Yes – it does help in the purchasing process.

You do not need a loan approval before you find a property, but if you have an approval prior to signing your offer on a property, Real Estate Agents and home sellers will consider you a serious buyer and will be more likely to choose you over other potential purchasers.

We can organize a pre approval for you, meaning that your finance will be subject to only a valuation on the property that you are purchasing and your current property if applicable – it’s easy!

What if I have an irregular income?

If you have an irregular income or a lack of records regarding your income, it can be very difficult to obtain a loan.

There are now loans designed to assist you when this is the case – we can help you to achieve the best result, regardless of your circumstances.

What happens with my personal information?

Our privacy policy ensures that any personal information collected by us will only be used for the purpose indicated.

We will not give your personal information to other organizations for their marketing purposes.

We have extensive experience in obtaining all sorts of loans, including loans for first home buyers.

We can assist with applying for your First Home Owner’s Grant at the time of loan submission, and also let you know of any other grants or exemptions that you may be eligible for.
